Rest assured ZuvoWater Company's idea of "customer service" and "quality products" are mere SCARE TACTICS and ones they will only employ after staff meetings, committee meetings, board meetings, my-people-will-tell-people, I'll-call-you-right-back (in the next life), email-tag and hair pulling on the customer's part. They will only use it as a last resort, maybe...
After receiving a defective unit (UV failed to initiate), it took almost 2 weeks of waiting for someone from ZuvoWater to connect with me via telephone. Their website does not offer email contact - they must email you first. Nothing about ZuvoWater is user-friendly.
1) Upon contact be prepared to play "hot potato" and the "Customer-is-Stupid-Troubleshooting" for AN ALREADY KNOWN PROBLEM, which was eventually described to me as a manufacturing defect - the prongs on the plug-in are not long enough to receive proper electrical current to activate the UV process. Okay, sure.
2) They will not make returning the unit for a replacement easy, it may take MANY days to receive authorization. Be prepared that this may not happen at all.
3) Be prepared to bear all costs if you receive a defective product, including shipping costs; you may not be successful in getting Zuvo to bear the responsibility.
After 2 weeks of resolve-weakening tactics, I caved. I contacted Amazon and without missing a beat they issued my return/refund, the matter was resolved within 48 hours, and I was minus a defective product.
After this was all over and done with Zuvo emailed me an apology and an offer of a new product. Sad to say the whole situation had gone beyond the time and endurance I was prepared to waste on this company. Unfortunate too because I really had positive expectations for this product and would have like to have invested in several for family members. Other reviews of Zuvo 2.0 & 2.5 reveal this is not an isolated incident.
If you receive a unit that works and/or the company responds timely and reasonably to any requests you make, you will probably be very pleased with this filtration system. I wish I was...

I admit that I am becoming hooked on the Zuvo water. We had friends and family over last weekend for dinner and I served Zuvo water to everyone. Without exception, everyone agreed it tasted terrific.
I recently needed a second Zuvo Purator and so I purchased the newest version; the ZPD130 V3.0. The only difference between the 3.0 and it's predecessor, the 2.5, is some design and style changes. Overall, the 3.0 has a very slick design.
Installation was straight forward, since I already had a soap dispenser that I replaced with the Butler Faucet. I confess that if I had needed to drill through my counter-top, I would have called in a plumber.
Bottom line-
1.) I like the taste of Zuvo water better than bottled water.
2.) I am saving money since I no longer buy the high-priced bottled water that likely came from a tap anyway.
3.) I'm not a tree-huger but I like the fact that I am no longer adding plastic water bottles to landfills.
This was a good purchase decision.

I would have to agree with some of the comments made here regarding the legitimacy of some of the reviews posted. They definitely sound like ads! My brother purchased the zuvo off amazon's deal of the day and since it wouldn't work with his setup, I decided to give it a try at my home.
Pros: Price of filters over a 2 year period is lower than typical pitcher or faucet mount filter systems. Water tastes softer than pitcher or faucet mount units, even better than reverse osmosis unit. Easy set-up. UV light to kill bacteria.
Cons: Manufacturer doesn't seem to have an established reputation for customer service or product support. Unit looks big sitting on counter top and has a power cord to deal with. Rate of flow is not much better than faucet mount unit.
Overall, I am happy with the unit. I have no way to test the quality of filtration, but the water does taste better than the faucet mount Pur that we were using. My wife doesn't like the big unit sitting on the counter, nor the power cable that runs from the unit. I may install it under the sink for her, but I must admit that I think it looks really cool when the unit is lit up and running.
Zuvo promotes that the unit adds oxygen to the water, although I am doubtful that there are any real benefits to having bubbles in your water! Isn't that what our lungs are for? I think I would prefer a nice smooth stream of water than the bubbling that we tend to get. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, though. Zuvo also claims that the unit uses negative ions to purify the water. I do like the UV light to kill bacteria, this at least is a proven technology.
I prefer the Zuvo to the faucet mount filter that we were using in our home. The water tastes better and in the long run it should be more cost effective.
UV light doesn't turn onOct 25, 2011

I bought the filter V3 in Amazon.com, but after of the installation, the UV light doesn't turn on. I noticed that with a slight pressure or force under the filter the UV light turn on, but when I release this pressure the UV light turn off in seconds. I think or suspect a problem with the electrical contact in the UV light. I sent several emails to Zuvo and never received a response. I am disappointed with the product. I live outside the United States and I have to pay all shipping for replacement.

"Night Owl Mama"
I received this product for review on my blog Night Owl Mama. I must say that at first I thought it was going to be a process to hook up so I left it as a task for my hubby. Hubby doesn't do "Honey do lists" so of course because I have a dead line I had to try and hook this up for myself. It certainly was a snap and so much easier I could ever imagine. I filmed step by step as I installed and it's on Youtube Night Owl Mama channel if you want to take a look before you purchase. I find the on the counter mount to be very large but some what entertaining to watch. I know my children love to watch it and as a result drink more water just to turn it on. I did a impromptu test on my hubby and didnt' tell him which was zuvo filtered and which was direct from the sink and you can check out his reaction in my video.
All in all I must say we enjoy it, and the water tastes great. Of course if your water doesn't come out of the faucet at drinkable temperature you'll still need to refrigerate but healthy great tasting water out of the faucet is what Zuvo delivers.
