 Keeps my feet nice and warmNov 15, 2010

I was a little concerned about buying this product, as it was so much cheaper than the other comparable products. One reviewer indicated that he thought it was the same product but much cheaper. I am confirming that it is the same product as the instructions say "Cozy Products" formerly "Indus Tools". So don't spend more from other sellers when you are going to get the same product.
I sit in a basement home office all day and do not want to run the heat for the entire house, just keep a small space warm. I had previously used a space heater, but it was noisy and I would get too hot and have to turn it off. The Toasty Toes foot warmer is just perfect. I do not use the cover that came with it. The cover slips off and on for easy cleaning. I do use the heater without shoes on.
The footrest has two heat settings, one for a footrest and one for a space heater. I have only used the product as a footrest. I only gave the product 4 stars as I wish there was a temperature setting dial rather than an off or on. I can adjust the temperature by moving my feet around, so it is not a big deal. I am looking forward to a lower heating bill this winter. I remember looking a few years ago for a heating pad and many people complained about the smell of the heating pads they had bought. This footrest heater does not have any smell.

The listing is entirely misleading- although full details for the heater are provided in the product description, the listing is ONLY for the fleece cover and it DOES NOT include the heater. I returned it immediately. Don't be fooled by false advertisement and save yourself a headache.

This was a great buy. The box was horribly mangled, and I was certain that the product would be in pieces. It was fine. Sturdy stuff! It works great, with or without the fleece cover, giving just enough heat to keep your feet and lower legs comfortably warm. I was especially pleased that, unlike a few other foot-warming devices I've tried, this has no unpleasant smell. This appears to be the very same product that I've seen elsewhere for 2 - 3 times the price.

I replaced a 20 year old veteran foot heater which I loved, but was no longer manufactured. I purchased this cover for the new heater. Despite being used part time and only by me, one of the snaps has failed. In addition, there is very little benefit from the cover. The heater is not very hot and just putting your feet directly on the heater would work just fine. Still, I am enjoying the feel of the fabric and tend to just leave my bare feet on the top of the cover while working (from home).
If you want to save a little money, the same result that this cover offers could be done with putting a piece of flannel over the heater.
