You want a dryer that saves you time, saves you work and leaves your dogs looking beautiful. That's the "grooming advantage" Metro Air Force Commanders give you. No other compact dryer combines such features as air flow control, air concentrator, air flare tool, a groomer rake and much more. That's why Metro Air Force Commanders actually cut drying time by two thirds. You could, in fact buy a more expensive dryer but it wouldn't give you the grooming advantage. Because 60 years of Metro design and manufacturing experience give you high performance without high prices. So give yourself the "grooming advantage", for about half of what you would expect to pay for dryers of this quality. Metro Air Force Commander is a powerful floor/table dryer with two-speed performance, allowing you to groom large or small breeds with one dryer. This lightweight dryer is so powerful you will forget it's portable. Features include an easy change filter and dual mounted legs that allow the Commander to be used vertically or horizontally. You can groom more dogs in less time ... make more money. You'll particularly like the job it does on heavy coated breeds. The Commander dries their hair without drying their coats. It's ideal for the professional in the shop or on house calls. Specs: Motor: 1.17HP motor, Amps: 7.5, Size: 12"x7"x7". | | | Features: | |

Great dryerJul 14, 2009

I'm very happy with this dryer. I was using a people hair dryer, and it just wasn't doing the trick. I have a Golden Retriever, so we're talking a LOT of hair! It still takes a while for her to get dry, but this dryer has definitely help cut down on some of the time. It doesn't get hot (it only gets warm), which is another good thing. Nice product.

I have three shelties and have always used force dryers at the groomers. the groomer closed and I went to a new groomer and they had worn out machines. So I bought this for use at home. It is light, and has two speeds, the HI speed just gets the fur of my heavy coated shelties. I used it on dry dogs yesterday when it arrives and was pleased at how much fur came out of my big, shedding sheltie. He really likes it behind his ears, and it was hard to get to him to move around. I used treats to train this, and blew all three dogs, this took a lot of dry fur out.it was nice to sit on the back porch and be comfortable. I expect to still do some brushing. unit is not that loud, Great for show use of home light use, if you have a grooming shop buy something stronger. Arrived in ten days. Wish i had bought it years ago.

I have been a professional groomer for 13 years, and was looking for a dryer to use at home on my two pugs (smooth coats that shed heavily 24-7-365) and my family's dogs (labs, a golden retriever, a cocker, havanese and beagle). I was impressed by the high rating and the great price ($121). Unfortunately, I returned it after excitedly unwrapping it and turning it on. Compared with the dryers I use at work, this dryer is WEAK. It is okay for very small dogs with thin hair or fur, like a maltese or shih tzu that is kept clipped short. But it just does not cut it for anything else. A force dryer should do just that-force the water from the dogs coat when the dryer is held close to the skin. It should blow out undercoat and loosen (properly pretreated) matting. This seemed more like a powerful human hair dryer. My husband joked that I accidentally ordered a "Hamster Dryer 2000". At work I use a Metro Master Blaster. The dryer I ordered has about a quarter of the power, on high, of the Master Blaster on low. To wrap this up, if you have never used a pro dryer before maybe this will be okay for your dog, but it is 3rd rate compared to other dryers available. Don't bother if you have a thick and or large breed. (FYI-Dryers are loud, but dogs usually do well with lots of praise and encouragement. Never force dry your dogs' face! Remove concentrator attachment and hold hose farther away from head. Calm owners=calm dogs! Happy Grooming!)
