2OVER PRICED AND OVERKILL FOR MOSTFeb 04, 2011
By MUSIC MITCH
I recommend that if you want this product, get it off of the Amazon.com website. It's priced better. And if you're out of state, you'll save sales tax. Therion sells it directly but does not match any web or discount stores lower prices. I do own this product. I have used it extensively. And I can attest to it from my own experience with it.

You could buy this Neo Flex top of the line shoe insert if you have a serious heel problem, or flat feet, or similar and your Podiatrist says that you need an insert in your shoe to provide extra support for your feet. Then take the insert and try to cut it down so that you can insert it into your shoe and wear it all the time - not easy to do at all. That's why I say try to get the right size from the get go. If you need this product and can do this, it might be worth it. The magnets in there are plentiful and powerful. It actually feels like little electrical current running through the bottom of your feet - but no higher than that.
however
If you don't intend to do this, then I think it's a waste of money to buy this Neo Flex. The same applies to the next product down, the Cera Flex - which is very similar but has slightly less powerful (but excellent) ceramic magnets as opposed to neo-d magnets in the top of the line Neo Flex. The Cera Flex has the same kind of heel support. The magnets are the main, but not only difference.

The disadvantage of the Neo Flex and Cera Flex is that they are much harder to get into a shoe or sneaker because of the wider and raised heel shaped supports and because it's doesn't come exactly fit to your foot like in a shoe store when you try a number of pairs on and take one that fits right. It's also much harder to put into your sock if you want to sleep in it at night and get a benefit over night for your feet. Although Therion doesn't recommend walking on it in bear feet.

And I believe that this Neo-Flex product is over exaggerated as to its prowess. I don't believe it penetrates so far past the foot and up into the ankle as they state on their website. And if it does on some small technicality as "it reaches there," I believe that the magnetic field strength drops so much as to be minimally effective to treat some real problem there. If your ankle is a problem, you would be FAR BETTER OFF with a product designed for the ankle and going right over the ankle instead of buying a foot insole and trying to get it from underneath.

Also, and I don't know why, but there seems to be more magnetic strength in the middle and upper part of the insole as opposed to the bottom. It seems to go like this: most magnetic field in the middle, top 2nd best and bottom least or minimal. Although from the photo on Therions website of where the magnets are placed (if it's really accurate?) I can't tell you why I have observed and experienced this with the insole they delivered to me.

In many cases you would be much better off with the bottom line Ener Flex insoles(which compared to many companies out there would be considered the top of the line foot insole in their entire line) and it has the same magnets as the more expensive Cera Flex - the middle product in a line of three insole products from Therion Inc. It goes like this from low to high: Ener Flex, Cera Flex and Neo Flex.

The ceramic magnets in the Ener Flex have a good field penetration. But it doesn't have the special heel support as in the Neo Flex and Cera Flex. It's easier to put the Ener Flex, bottom line insole into any shoe or sneaker. It has about 25-30 strong ceramic magnets. It's worth the money and the savings over the top of the line Neo Flex is quite substantial. Naturally no one would tell you all this but a consumer who bought from them and learned this the hard way and hopes you don't make the same mistakes as he.

Buy the way, I've also looked at a lot of other companies foot insoles and I don't think any compare to this bottom line Ener Flex insole that Therion sells. (but that doesn't mean that if you searched long enough, you couldn't find a better one) I've observed that either their Gauss rating is much lower as from 2450 and below,. ( 2450 is not bad but not great and you can save even more money with a moderate 2450 or so Gauss insole. But 800 Gauss is really very minimally effective. Like on a scale of 1-10 where 10 is the best, the rating on an 800 would be 1. I've also found that many companies insoles contains crushed magnetic metals (which are not as strong and don't penetrate as well as solid magnets) compared to about 25-30 real solid magnets in their low end Ener Flex. (even though you can't feel them at all. To prove they are there one would have to actually cut open the product to really prove that what they say is exactly what's in there). A friend of mine did this with a futon mattress sold by a major mattress company and ended up suing the company for false claims, when what was stated to be in the product on their website, was not really in the product that they sold.

Therion has no rating with the BBB but some of it's distributors (who also distribute other products too) have "A" ratings. (And that doesn't mean it relates to this product) Like for example, better health that distributes this product on Amazon has an "A" rating with the BBB but if you look closely at their file, (bbb.com) they have 7 complaints against them for items involving returns/exchanges/refunds. And they don't tell you what product/ products that relates to. It could relate to this product for all I know?

And if you buy this product, I would email either email the parent company Therion or the distributor that you're buying it from (or both) and ask them about the size you're ordering. For example: How much does the insert measure with a measuring tape? Like does a 7 to 9 mans actually measure 9 inches long? Or does it measure 10 inches or more? (because when I received mine, it was almost 2 inches longer. Like in the exmaple above if a 7 to 9, arrived and was measured by me to be two inches longer. That can cause a problem in how it fits and how it can be used or not used. And ask them when you get it if it doesn't measure that (what they tell you), can you return it at their expense?

About returns: If I could return this Neo Flex I would and for the money spent, take the Ener Flex and two other products. It's very hard to return foot insoles as these. If you use it at all, they won't take it back. And if you don't use them and it came looking used, they will think you used them. I'm not saying not to buy them, they can provide drug free solutions to many problems and are entirely safe (if using the north side) Just be careful, ask questions, and read the return polices VERY CAREFULLY!

Good luck.

p.s. I suggest that you do not buy any insoles (or any magnetic products) that have bi-polar magnets - both north and south in the same product facing the same direction, on the same side of a magnet. They can be on opposite sides of the magnet - that's okay. (if it isn't stated clearly, ask them to be sure, if they don't answer you, don't buy, it's not a good sign) They are very ineffective. It's like mixing fire and water together and trying to start a fire.
also
Do not buy any magnets that have the south side facing the body - they can have unhealthy results. Only buy magnets that have the north side (they contain a negative magnetic field) facing the body. They are the most therapeutic. This product has the north facing the body.
test
you can test any magnetic product by putting another magnet next to it. 2 North or 2 south sides repel each other at the center and for most of the magnet (except at the edges where the other pole can leak over slightly) and opposites attract - meaning they should stick together pretty good. Are you smarter than a 5th grader?

5Great product and very comfortableAug 17, 2010
By Kurt M. Glover
The magnetic insoles have been a great product and they are very comfortable. I was hesitant to purchase do to the price, but it was worth the investment. My feet have terrible blood circulation and therefore they crack open a lot. The powerful magnets help to increase my circulation making my feet smooth. I also had a lot of numbness and tingling going on in my left foot as if I had neropathy. . These magnetic insoles have decreased the tingling some 80 percent. I recommend these to everyone.
