I was recommended this light by my doctor about a month ago. I've been using it nearly every day since then. For use with people with SAD. I've been known to feel the blue just after a couple of days of rainy somber skies. I started using this for about a half hour in the beginning and have since cut back to 15 minutes a day. You need to gauge how you are feeling. Works well and I am satisfied with it.

I was skeptical about whether this would help and decided if it didn't work, it would be the most expensive desk lamp I'd ever bought. Surprisingly, it has been very helpful in keeping me alert during the day, especially when I have to study for long stretches of hours at a time. I don't feel lethargic or antsy. It does not take up space on my desk and while it is *extremely* bright, it does not hurt my eyes although I try not to look directly at it. The con that I noticed is that in order for it to be 10,000 lux you need to keep it at a distance of 10 inches, which is uncomfortable given how bright the lamp is. If you keep it further away, which is what I do, it becomes 6,000 lux. So although it is advertised as 10,000 lux, keep in mind that it depends on the distance you use it.

I received my light box two weeks ago and have been using it daily. My mood has been better but I don't know if that can be attributed to the light box or that we have actually had some recent sunshine in Ohio. The company was great to work with, my box came with a broken screw and they sent out replacements immediately. The light is very bright but I enjoy using it, am actually a litle sad when the half hour is up and I have to turn it off. The light box is nice quality and I think it was well worth the investment.

The light worked well for me ... I used it to help me wake up faster in the mornings. I was very sluggish and tired before I started using the light.
I used it everyday for about 2 months @ 20 minutes every morning as soon as I got up. It did take about two weeks using it before I noticed a difference.
The light did not come with any manual. It would be nice to know what kind of replacement bulbs are required should I need to replace them.
The money spent on the light was worth it.

This product has worked perfectly since I got it. I take it with me to work on Monday and use it for an hour a day and take it home on Friday so I'll have it for the weekend. It travels very well and have had no problems. As far as how it has helped me, I have suffered from depression for a number of years. Medication does a fairly good job but winter time is particularly difficult. I got this to see if it would work for winter. I had difficulty the last six months with constantly wanting to eat even when stuffed. I would try to cut back, only to fail at controlling my diet. I was very surprised when after 3 days of light therapy the desire to eat all the time went away. I also feel more energetic and have increased my exercise. I've gotten a lot of house projects done that I had been putting off for a long time (wanting to get them done but just couldn't bring myself to do them). I feel like I am in more control than I have in a very long time! I'm sending the expense to my flexible spending account since insurance wouldn't pay for it. The FSA will pay me back if I get a letter of medical necessity from my doctor. She's the one who recommended it to me so no problem there. I would definitely recommend this product!
