I purchased the seat for my wife who had terminal cancer. For the short period of time she was able to use the item, it seemed to work very well. She did not mention it being uncomfortable to use even though it looked as if it might not be completely stable unless you sit down on it squarely.
Overall, I think this is a very good product and worth the time and effort to set it up for someone in need of assistance getting out of a chair.

My Dad was having difficulty getting up from the kitchen chair. This seat lift is great!! It helps to have a chair with arms--more stability for him. But the lift gives him the boost he needs to get up. It's wonderful! Well worth the money!!

We ordered this product for my father who had surgery last year and had difficulty getting up and down from chairs. The chair lift was completely inadequate in providing the lift he needed.
