Best insulin travel kitMar 04, 2011
By James V. Halloran III I've owned several of these, so I was primed to replace a lost one with the same item. They are compact, yet can carry syringes and alcohol swabs sufficient for a weekend, in addition to two standard vials of insulin. The cooler will keep the insulin at a safe temperature for a full day, depending on the ambient temperature.

Excellent and DurableFeb 09, 2010
By apex I have been using this case for over 15 years--the same one the whole time. It will keep your insulin cold for most of the day. It will not stay cold for an entire 24 hour period, but for travel to an overnight destination it works great. It is also extraordinarily durable. After all the years I have used it, it is still in great condition. Neither freeze insert has ever leaked. I highly recommend it, with my only caveat being somewhat limited duration before the insulin holder defrosts and gets back to room temperature.

insulin cooler not what I expectedMay 07, 2008

"langrick"
I recently used the cooler on a trip back east, I was not impressed with it. the trip was by plane from California To Georgia. The trip was by air an I kept the coooler with me on the plane. About 6 1/2 hrs including plane change and an additional 3 hrs by car to my final destination. By the time I got to the hotel The blue container was completely melted and my insulin was barely cool. I imediatly put my insulin in the fridge at the hotel. If my trip had lasted any longer and with some of the airline delays one can have these days I think my insulin would have gotten too warm. I will be checking out other alternatives. Not happy with this product.

Works well...Sep 14, 2008
By P. Rowen I have used this travel case with my great aunt traveling all over the world (including many 14-17 hr flights) and have never had any problems with the pack staying cold. For those very long flights and even longer travel days, it does best when it has been frozen very hard (ie overnight). I have never had a hotel refuse to freeze it overnight for me, either... I just ask for help at the front desk.
Two insulin vials fit in quite well. One Humalog pen fits inside without the cap although there is no extra room to carry an vial as well.
We typically travel with three of these freezer packs (two for humalog pens, one for 2 vials of Lantus) since I like to have back-up:)

By Farouk S. Beshai As usual over priced product from this company that makes huge profits on the back of sick poeple. I used it once and it kept the Insulin cool for about 6 hours.
