I'm surprised about the negative reviews. I have had mine for almost 6 months and run it every night. I have done nothing to it yet, except to add water every night ( I should clean it). No white dust neither.

Bought this humidifier at a local retailer and it worked great for a day and a half. Then, no warm mist...just cold. Checked settings, emailed manufacturer, and no success in resolving the issue. I will exchange it as I'm hoping it's just a bad unit and not an inherent problem with this model or manufacturer. Other than that, no leaks, quiet and no other issues. Will try to report back!

Out the box the light on the unit didnt work. Water would leak out and puddle on my carpet after the first 3 days. Some nights you cant even see the mist coming out. It took 3 months before I received a refund and they didn't even want the unit back. They said throw it away. I did and that was the best decision.

We've had one of these since Fall 2010 for the nursery. We decided to buy another for our room since it works so well.
Pros: It is easy to use and we love the cold/warm options. The night light is awesome for many reasons - 1) it works as a night light for your baby's room, 2) if they don't like that bright of a night light, it provides just enough light to check on them at night when they're asleep, 3) it becomes a fun toy when they're a toddler. Also, the machine is soooo quiet - no gurgles, noisy motors or anything like that. It stays clean and clean smelling for a lot longer than the humidifiers I'm used to.
Cons: ???
We used reverse osmosis water from our sink to fill it back at our old house. Now we're on well water, but we haven't noticed a change in quality or function.

Purchased this for our infant son. We desired both a warm and cool mist option and this allowed us to not purchase two products. The water tank is fairly large and only needs to be refilled once ever 3 days. We run this all night in his nursery so approx. 11 hours at a time. The unit is very quiet and it creates an excellent amount of humidity - so much that we have to leave the door partially open or the room becomes steamy. It's a little pricy for a humidifier but we are pleased with the product. It also contains a night light which we do not use as it is too bright for our liking.
