 Pure Guardian H1500 - A good buyNov 15, 2011

Purchased this for our infant son. We desired both a warm and cool mist option and this allowed us to not purchase two products. The water tank is fairly large and only needs to be refilled once ever 3 days. We run this all night in his nursery so approx. 11 hours at a time. The unit is very quiet and it creates an excellent amount of humidity - so much that we have to leave the door partially open or the room becomes steamy. It's a little pricy for a humidifier but we are pleased with the product. It also contains a night light which we do not use as it is too bright for our liking.

We've had one of these since Fall 2010 for the nursery. We decided to buy another for our room since it works so well.
Pros: It is easy to use and we love the cold/warm options. The night light is awesome for many reasons - 1) it works as a night light for your baby's room, 2) if they don't like that bright of a night light, it provides just enough light to check on them at night when they're asleep, 3) it becomes a fun toy when they're a toddler. Also, the machine is soooo quiet - no gurgles, noisy motors or anything like that. It stays clean and clean smelling for a lot longer than the humidifiers I'm used to.
Cons: ???
We used reverse osmosis water from our sink to fill it back at our old house. Now we're on well water, but we haven't noticed a change in quality or function.

I'm surprised about the negative reviews. I have had mine for almost 6 months and run it every night. I have done nothing to it yet, except to add water every night ( I should clean it). No white dust neither.

My wife and daughter and I were all sick with a cold this week in the midst of a freezing dry winter. I purchased TWO of these upon the recommendation of the manager at a local Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Both worked great the first night. The next day they BOTH stopped working! - no mist at all. I would jiggle the tanks a touch and the mist would resume for a few minutes and then stop again. I returned them after one more night of failure. I have read many reviews of the same problem with this company. A TOTAL WASTE of time. DO NOT BUY!

I purchased two of these humidifiers about a year ago. I run them each every night and they both work well. Humidifier is quiet and produces a good amount of mist for a bedroom. The difference in the room with and without the humidifier is easily notable. Tank is large enough to easily run the humidifier for 12 hours.
