Good Size. A Little Quick.Dec 29, 2009
By smiles This is a great product for people who need to develop better balance but are not professional athletes. I use this product for physical therapy and it provides the action I need for my routine. The older model, from Fitter First, was a little slower board and more comfortable to use. This board if used consistently will give you a good workout and improve ankle, leg and core strength. Remember to pull your core muscles in. You can hurt your lower back if you are weak there. This board works best at the higher levels. Highly recommended.

Fitter Rocker BoardFeb 19, 2011
By C. Palmer I am un-certain how to rate this product. I broke my ankle in September and this board was recommended by my Physical Therapist to re-gain flexability and balance. For that it works great. I have seen a lot of flexability return to my ankle and my balance is getting much better.
On the otherhand, $75 for an 18" x 18" x 3/4" piece of plywood with 2 hard half sphere plactic balls on the bottom seems very steep.
Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I feel I had been ripped-off? Yes. Sad part is there are no competing products, so Fitter can charge what ever they wish for it.

Wobble Board BeginnerMar 29, 2011
By Terri P. Tepper The Wobble Board helps me strengthen my core and improve my balance. I'm 69 years old and feel the Wobble Board to be a very good investment.
There are two spheres on the bottom of the board. When I align the wobble board so that the spheres are side by side and place a foot over each sphere I find I can balance fairly easily.
A more advanced stance is to turn the board so that the spheres run front and back and my feet are placed between them a few inches apart still side to side so that there is a sphere in front of me and one in back. This is a more challenging position, but again, helpful for core and balance work.
I also have a bosu. The wobble board is a step up in difficulty from the bosu. (My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and my Border Terrier do not find the Bosu very challenging. They can turn 360 on it.) I haven't tried them on the Wobble board yet.
I also have the round wobble board, but am not yet ready to balance on it. Terri P Tepper

rocker boardFeb 26, 2011
By T. Ohta I work in a Physical Therapy clinic and bought it at the recommendation of another clinic manager. We have been using it daily with our knee and ankle patients. The board came rather quickly. The only draw back is the fact that the max weight allowed on the board is 250 lbs and we have patients that are over this weight.

Well designed, well made, capable unitJan 26, 2011
By Jerry Saperstein I need to work on my balance and needed a starter rocker board that didn't cost a fortune and would be usable as my balance capabilities (hopefully) improved.
I chose this from the listings on Amazon primarily because of the manufacturer's description.
Good choice. The board is well constructed of plywood and very nicely finished. There is nothing rough or undone about it: it is actually a beautiful piece of straightforward woodworking and looks and feels like it will last many years.
The leveling mechanism is simply brilliant. There are a pair of half-spheres on the bottom. Twist them to the left to enable setting the board to one of three angles (10, 12 or 15 degrees), turn the top half of the unit to the level needed to achieve that angle and tighten. It takes only seconds to do this. The adjustable angle lets you work with this rocker board from your first nervous and tentative steps to a hopefully more confident sense of balance where the angle can be increased.
The 20 inch square size is adequate, but I do wish it were a bit larger, though that might create storage problems at home.
This is a very nice product and I am glad that I spotted it on Amazon.
Jerry
