I recently read about bamboo charcoal (and this soap in particular) on a flight to London. The second I got back home, I got online and purchased it. I'm glad I did. First thing I noticed when I opened the package was the wonderful smell. It's got a very pleasant and natural scent that I love. The black color of the soap is awesome and I love the fact that you can use it on your face and body. I have had it about a week and already notice a nice glow to my skin. Another thing I like about the soap is it really rinses off clean. There's no residue left at all and it makes your skin feel really smooth. I would definitely recommend this soap.

Mildly disappointed in the bar's performance on my facial skin issues (congestion, cystic acne along the jawline). However, stress from deployment and a recent surgery, I think, caused me to begin losing so much hair every morning it was getting scary. Due to limitations in resources and maybe a hint of desperation, I began using the bamboo charcoal soap on my scalp. Within ten days I was losing significantly less hair, and after about 45 days of daily use as a shampoo, there is still maybe more than average hair-loss going on but the situation is definitely under control. Since the primary mental/emotional stressors have not been removed, I credit the soap.
