I bought this fin over a year ago and have given it some hard use. I've used it everywhere from small pools to lakes. Everyone who sees it wants to try it out, from 5 year old girls to 19 year old guys. The sizing is meant for women's feet, but young and men alike still try it out. Sometimes the strap will come out, but it is designed in such a way that you can hook it back in, no damage done. All that is needed to use the fin well is a good understanding of the dolphin kick. It takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes natural, and you can move around effectively. I have used it for exercise, free diving, and even covered it with swimsuit material to form a mermaid tail. The longest I have swam with the fin was about 2 hours around SCUBA divers, where the tail is so efficient, it is easy to conserve energy while treading water, or allow you to zoom around.
I recommend this fin to any water enthusiast, especially those particular to mermaids. :-) It makes a great gift and is so much fun to use, let alone attracts the interest of those who have never seen a monofin before. The only draw back of the fin is that it is relatively flexible rubber, making it a good beginner's fin. I'm already looking at more professional fins that can get more speed, but this fin will always be my workhorse because it is less expensive and relatively small, making it easier to carry around.

My daughter loves this, she is in the craze of mermaids and we're working on making a tail....she loves it so much, the quality is amazing, and it doesn't break easily like some other straps....i love it!

Solicité este producto para para mi novia, en Colombia, porque normalmente es difícil encontrar acá almacenes especializados donde se ofrezcan monoaletas. El vendedor es eficiente y cumplido en lo relacionado con el envío. El producto es excelente, pues para el precio es un artículo que además de resistente es bastante bonito, muy práctico, y facilita actividades tanto de entrenamiento como recreativas.
Se recomienda ser cuidadoso con el trato a las taloneras ajustables para no desgastarlas. Las fundas para los piés son pequeñas, pero con el tiempo se ensanchan un poco. Procure no guardarlo aun mojado pero tampoco lo seque al sol, y si no conserva la bolsa para guardarlo procure mantenerlo en posición horizontal para no deformar la aleta y para no deteriorar las fundas para los pies o las taloneras.
Adicionalmente, es recomendable visitar el sitio web del fabricante (http://www.finisinc.com/) donde se pueden encontrar recomendaciones, videos, y muchos otros productos para los que gustan de la natación.
