True to size, very comfortable.Apr 08, 2011
By Isabel E. Averill I should preface this review by saying that I prefer to wear fins with neoprene socks. However, I have tried my fins without them and still find them very comfortable. The surface of the rubber doesn't rub against my feet.
I'm not a swimmer, really. I just like to kick with fins and a kickboard, so I use these for up to 30-40 minutes at a time, then call it a day. Afterward, my feet never feel cramped as they sometimes did when I used the fins at the pool which were sometimes warped. In addition, the blade is nice and wide so they can really propel you through the water.
As for the size, I am about a 9 in Women's Shoes. These are listed as a 9-11 and I can wear them comfortably without my socks or snugly with them.

Close to perfectDec 10, 2011
By DrawPro I bought these specifically for snorkling. Typical use is 1 to 2 hours at a time. They are very comfortable on the foot, not too heavy nor too long. They float and work well when taking it easy. However, I tend to cover long distances to get to snorkle sites and the fin is not stiff enough to cover these distances easily. They are too flexible. A bit firmer fin would offer more thrust with less effort. But for light use, the performance matches the price.

nice!Aug 23, 2009
By Mutantfrog A little thicker/heavier than the Titan ("Better Times") fins I just reviewed. However they are still one piece/thickness throughout the fin, including the blade and foot pocket. They are a little stiffer than the Better Times fins. HOwever, again, if you are looking for something close to the old black Voit fins that were so popular about 20yrs ago, these are pretty darn close.
I wear a size 7 shoe (women's) and 7-9 size fin fits fine without a sock or anything else.

Unless you know fins, fit, and sizing, I'd recommend fin purchasing in person. I've amazoned 2 dif brands, 3 sizes, and still they HURT! These run SMALL. I'm a woman's 10 and the red/black 9-11 fit ok in foot bed length, but they KILL across the knuckels (is that technically a tarsal or a carpel?). Too boot, I've got some seriously NARROW FEET! I fear sizing up again would leave them too loose. I find this brand far stiffer then my friend's similar fins of another make (stiffer = cheaper plastic). I really can't recommend these overall, but after returning two other pairs, it wasn't worth the hassle or $ to send these back. BUMMER...
