Love them!Jul 03, 2010

I've been swimming competitively for almost 24 years. I started using swedish goggles about 15 years ago and still love them. I purchased these to have another pair on hand, and was very pleased with the changes. Old goggles used to come with very sharp edges around the socket which had to be "worn" down through use or with tools. It took some getting used to. These did not have that. They were very comfortable from the start.
For people not familiar with this product, they are no frills goggles, that only have the socket which goes over your eye. There is no padding or other useless stuff around the socket which, for me, never really seemed to work anyway. Anyone having problems adjusting the knot in the middle so that the sockets are close enough together need not really bother. Just tie the knot and if it's too big, then twist the goggles so the string is pulled tighter until they fit properly.
I attribute the lack of fluff around the eyes to these goggles' uncanny ability to maintain a seal when I'm diving in (even from heights) and pushing off the wall. I highly recommend to all!

Must be constructed, horrible nose pieceNov 02, 2010
By kamikazewave These goggles have the design I want at a cheap price, but what they fail to mention is that the nose piece is just a piece of string with a plastic covering over it. Be prepared to spend time preparing your goggles, getting them together so that they work etc. These aren't just open and use goggles.
The nose piece is horribly designed. It's just a piece of string that you're expected to tie together. No matter how hard I try, I can't get it to be a tighter fit. Most people simply can't tie a know that well with so little room to work with, that would make a good nose piece.
These goggles still work. They are reasonably comfortable, and have exactly the type of lenses I'm looking for. Unfortunately, the crappy nose design makes these goggles not a 5 star.
nice swim galssesAug 29, 2011
By Jessy Nice swim glasses, reasonable price for this item. Only issue is that the glasses is made from hard materials and left some trace line around eyes if you fasten the glass too tight.
Wonderfully minimalisticJun 06, 2011
By a.dickens While I was a competitive swimmer in my younger days, I used to buy a pair of Swedish style goggles every year and wore them until they died or I lost them, and it was usually the later that caused me to use a new pair. I have started swimming again for exercise and needed a pair of goggles and these immediately jumped to mind when I went to purchase a pair. They are a very minimalistic goggle. You get two solid plastic eye cups, string for the nose piece, a blue tube to cover the nose piece, and a strap. These fit me wonderfully and there is no leaking around the eye socket despite the absence of foam or silicone commonly found in other goggles. I know that for some they just won't work because of the anatomy of the eye sockets of the individual, but for the low price of these, it's worth a shot to see if they will work for you.
Simply the best.May 22, 2011
By JVG Swedish googles are just the best invented for swimmers. They just remembered me the times when I used to train 10,000 m a day. To assemble them is a rite for champions. God bless the swedish.
