I've used many different brands of latex swim caps and FINIS is the only one that ever came off mid-pool. The cap is also a bit heavier than most other latex swim caps. It's difficult to put on and rips more hair when you take it off than other brands. They also tend to rip a bit easier--probably because I had to fidget with the cap multiple times.
If the shape is the appeal, Speedo sells a better cap at roughly the same price.
I'm partial to Nike myself.
Note: All latex swim caps rip eventually-- $2 - $3 is all you should be spending.
