5High five for the FreestylerJul 26, 2007
By A Tri Guy "Plotzy"
I was recommended the Freestyler over hand paddles or swim gloves because I'm specifically working on my freestyle technique. I'm a triathlete and my coach recommended that I try this training aid and it has made a huge difference in my stroke. I'd recommend it anyone that needs to work on technique and would like to see their times drop and the distances soar!

5As advertised.Jun 10, 2010

There is no issue with the quality of these paddles. The only question is whether they are what you are looking for. They have helped me with hand entry and getting my catch smoother on freestyle, and that is exactly what they are advertised to do. They are NOT traditional paddles for building strength.

5Excellent Training DeviceFeb 14, 2009

I bought the hand paddles a few years ago to improve my stroke. The paddles work great. They will keep you honest if you get lazy/sloppy during your workout.

5Excellent prodcutJun 03, 2011

I am a triathlete and I currently train for Ironman. I wanted to improve my hand entry in the water because I will do it quite many times in the upcoming event in November. All I can say is that I need about 3-4 sessions to correct my hand entry and I am really happy about it. Great piece of equipment for serious swimmers (hopefully I will become one too :-) ).

4Good in general, but too thinMay 05, 2011
By swimpenumbra
This item took me some time to get used to, but generally speaking, it is pretty good.
Pros:
1. it helps your arms to extend further and more straight, which is the point.
2. it definitely makes your hands to make a more complete finish below your waist line.(The greatest pro in my opinion, since otherwise, your palms would lose these paddles.)
Cons:
1. these paddles are somewhat too thin,so I don't think I could "abuse" them. (it doesn't have enough weight to give
the feeling back to me.)
2. also, they are a little small in terms of surface area. (but this can be a bit personal).
3. by the way, these paddles sink!!! Yes, it is really annoying.
