Great bag for a great priceApr 06, 2009

I paid $9.99 for the bag so I really couldn't go wrong. The bag has enough room for all my gear and then some. The bag is decent even if it was full price.
Solid ProductSep 28, 2010
By Cymry Everything about this pack is well made. The zipper is an improvement over the previous FINIS model (purchased around 2006-7) I owned in this size category. It's a very good value. I use it regularly as a swimming gear bag several times per week.
I would give it five starts but for several features that make it less functional than the previous FINIS I owned. This pack apparently replaced the old one in the FINIS product line.
#1: It's not as roomy. The same gear that fit easily into the previous model now requires me to push and stuff, in order to close it. It needs to be about 20% taller.
#2: The old model had lots of small exterior pouches which made accessing little items that are useful in the locker room handy. Now, they've added interior pouches. Great idea. But why eliminate some of the exterior pouches? It's still serviceable, but less convenient.
#3: The old model had a full-handwidth-wide, plastic reinforced carry handle which made it easy to hang the bag on wall hooks in the locker room. I can still do this, but with a fully loaded bag, that's a lot of stress on the fabric-only carry handle now. I'm not confident that it will last as long as the old bag. And since the opening isn't as wide, it's a little harder to put the bag onto the wide wall hooks.
Hopefully, someone at FINIS will read this and come out with an improved model.
Huge gear bagJan 22, 2010
By Carol Chesney It holds my laptop and a lot of gear, so I don't need a separate gymn bag. I am about 5'5" and the fit is a too large for me. The sternum strap is way too low, even at the highest setting. It is sturdy and has held up really well. The ventilated pockets and water bottle pocket are nice, but the other pockets are a bit odd size/shape.
