5Holy Cow!Sep 12, 2007

It really works! And it really hurts! But it really works!
It took me a bit to figure out how to use it. They recommend using short, fast strokes but I found going a little slower worked better. I did have to go over an area a few times to get all the hair but it did get it. It takes a while to do a whole leg so give yourself time and take breaks.
The longer the hair the better it seemed to work.
It does hurt at first but then it gets tolerable. It feels like tweezing quickly. Hurts less than waxing but takes longer. The hair stays off sooooo long. It's been 3 weeks and I still don't have stubble.
I like it and feel like it was worth the money and the time.

4A good investment if you hate shaving!Nov 04, 2008

I bought this product (corded) from eBay. I was very hesitant to try an epilator since I'd read horror stories about the pain. Yes, it was painful at first. But some advice before using: Make sure the hair you're pulling/epilating is about 1/8 inch or less. Shorter hurts less. And do it after a warm bath or shower. It doesn't hurt as much. It took some getting used to, with gritting teeth, but now it barely hurts at all. In fact, I've never gone back to a razor. I use it about once every 1-2 weeks and it keeps my legs and underarms hair free. No more stubble. Tried bikini area but it was too painful. Underarms hurts the least - surprisingly. This product has changed my life for the better and I would strongly recommend it. Yes, do remember to pull skin taut before using, especially underarms and back of the knees. That was a painful lesson when it grabbed my skin. I would strongly recommend it. Makes life easier! Plus, after epilating, if you allow hair to grow back in, any hair that returns comes back softer, thinner, lighter in color.

5The best way to have smooth legsAug 04, 2008
By Pretty She "prettyoldshe"
I have owned an older model of this product for years. I recently bought this one and it is terrific. It hurts if you have a lot of hair so using it a little each day works best. I do an once-over each day and it only takes a few minutes. Because the hair is pulled out it takes a long time to grow back and there are never any prickles.

4Does a great job ... butMay 13, 2005

This epilator really does a very, very nice job. It definitely does everything it claims to do, including making the "tweezing" process virtually pain free. The only thing I don't like about it is that, for some reason, the batteries don't last verylong. It seems like the battery power runs out a lot fast than it would in, say, a kids toy or some other small personal appliance. I wish I had bought a rechargable one simply for convenience.

4good alternative to waxingJan 29, 2009
By M. Petersen
This is a right-handed epilator. I am left-handed, but it still works alright.

It does the job well. If you like epilation, you will be pleased with the product. You have to be aware of ingrown hairs, and the pain, and be ready to deal with those things. Epilators are not for sissies! That said, I love mine. It lasts longer than shaving, and is way easier than waxing.
