My husband and I bought this a couple of years ago. It had great reviews. Some people said it took about a week to work for them, other people said it worked right away. For us, it worked the first night we used it and it has worked every time since. It uses a conductive gel that you can easily pick up at a pharmacy or order online. The AAA battery lasted a long time too and is easily replaced. You can adjust the intensity of the electro-stim. It's more comfortable than it looks because you aren't supposed to make it too tight, and it shuts off automatically. Sometimes I fall asleep with it on but that hasn't bothered me; I tend to wake up briefly after a few hours and I take it off (leaving it in the bed next to me) and then fall right back to sleep. Haven't broken it yet. And the final great thing is that we wake up refreshed instead of groggy from sleeping pills. It surprised us how well it works.

This item is a waste of money. All I got from it was a rash because the pad is rough. My house mate tried it and got the same results.
