Great ergonomic backpackOct 14, 2010

This is a great backpack structurally but it's the ergonomic features that make it wonderful. However, the feature only works when the inflatable lumbar insert is inflated and not leaking. When I first ordered the bag, the inflatable tubular insert wouldn't inflate when I pumped it up with the included pump. Then I realized that there was a hole in the insert. I contacted the company and a replacement was promptly sent. When I finally got the chance to inflate it and place it in the lumbar pocket in the back of the bag, it worked really well even after I put in a couple of 5 lb dumb bells and 2 heavy textbooks. Carrying the heavy and hard items were almost effortless. I'm petite and am only 5'0". So, the bag is well designed ergonomically. However, the weakness is in the inflatable insert. Should it be punctured or the seams weaken then the ergonomic capability is lost. So, a heavy duty inflatable insert or one that does not rely on air should be developed. Otherwise, I do love this bag. It's such a back saver.
